On June 29, 2016, Mr. Li Ka-shing visited the virtual hybrid operating room and the simulated ICU with great interest, accompanied by leaders and staff members such as Executive Director of Lujun Jun and Luo Minjie. The virtual hybrid system is purchased and donated by the Li Ka Shing Foundation to the Shantou University School of Medicine. It is the first virtual hybrid (complex) operating room system for teaching in Asia.
